Glass in the landscape: Thick glass globs fixed in a rigid frame are remarkably robust, able to resist maliciously thrown stones, and can have a dramatic effect as a landscape feature. They need to be placed where the light comes from behind and are especially effective and welcome when the sun is low in the winter.
